We know applying to a new school can feel overwhelming. Our Admissions Team at Covenant is here to help you navigate through the process. To get started, please follow the steps below.
Prospective parents and students are warmly invited to schedule an in-person tour of one or both campuses. Our Admissions Office is also scheduling Zoom meetings and phone calls with prospective families. Please schedule a call or visit by calling or emailing the Admissions Office.
OnCampus is the platform through which we track the admission process for applicants. It is also where you will find our online Application for Admission. Our Application for Admission for the 2025-26 academic year opens September 1 and we encourage families to apply before the January 31 deadline. (Note: all application materials including transcript and teacher recommendations must be received by February 10). After this deadline, we offer rolling admission pending application qualifications and space availability. There is a $75 non-refundable application fee.
Current Covenant families should use their onCampus information to log in.
If you are applying without having previously inquired, you will need to create an account. Parents who have previously inquired within the past year already have an onCampus username. You will need to retrieve this username and then create a password.
To obtain your login information, click "Forgot login or First time logging in?"
Enter the email address that you used in the inquiry stage and check the “Username” and “Password” boxes.
You will receive two follow-up emails. One (subject line: “Username Request”) will provide you with your username. The other (subject line: “Password Request URL”) will provide instructions on setting a password.
To complete an Application for Admission, login to onCampus.
Click on your child's name in the top left corner.
View the “Checklist” under “Admissions Progress.”
Click the “Fill Out” button to start the online application.
For assistance, please contact the Admissions Office at admissions@youjingxian.com.
Once an application has been received, someone in the Admissions Office will contact you with the necessary paperwork for the next steps in the process.
The Transcript Release Form (Grades 1–12) should be signed and submitted to the applicant’s current school no earlier than December 1. Teacher Recommendation Forms for students applying for Pre-K through Grade 12 should be electronically requested to the applicant’s current teacher through our onCampus platform no earlier than December 1. Recommendations will be returned directly to the Admissions Office. Two recommendation forms are required for students applying for admission to Grades 6–12. Homeschooled students must also complete the Addendum Form.
Lower School applicants are evaluated during scheduled appointments on the Birdwood Campus. This admissions testing takes approximately 1-1.5 hours to complete.
Middle School
Middle School applicants are evaluated during scheduled appointments on the Hickory Campus. This admissions testing takes approximately 2 hours to complete.
Upper School Upper School applicants may submit PSAT, SAT, PACT, ACT, or SSAT scores for consideration. Applicants without these scores are required to take the ERBs during a scheduled appointment on the Hickory Campus as part of the admission process.
We strongly encourage applicants entering Grades 1-12 to spend a day attending classes. Visitors are assigned a host to shadow during the day, giving them an opportunity to meet students and teachers and to find out first-hand what makes Covenant distinct. We will begin scheduling student visits in late October.
The student interview is an important part of the application process for Middle and Upper School applicants. Virtual or in-person interviews are offered on a case by case basis for eligible applicants as the last step of the admissions process.
The Admissions Committee sends first-round decision letters and Enrollment Contracts by late February for applicants to Pre-K and K and early March for applicants to Grades 1–12. There is a rolling admissions process throughout the rest of the year based on space availability in each grade.
