Following the recent tragic events on UVA's campus, Covenant students found ways to show their support.
Students, wrote messages, prayers, and remembrances on hundreds of flags that were displayed in the Hickory Campus courtyard, alongside the jersey numbers of Chandler (15), Davis (1), and Perry (41) and the message "Eagles for Hoos."
Braeden Weiss organized the memorial, with the help of fellow seniors Joe Bonistalli and Graham Carter. Weiss said he felt it was important to support the UVA community and show them that "Covenant is with them."
The flags with personal notes were sent to UVA and a fundraiser has been organized to provide gift cards to the families of the victims. Individuals wishing to give may send money through Venmo to Nicole Weiss (@Nicole-Weiss-09807) until Friday, December 16.
